Anthology Film Archives is an international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of film and video with a particular focus on American independent and avant-garde cinema and its precursors found in classic European, Soviet and Japanese film.

bfi-logo-100x60.jpg The British Film Institute promotes understanding and appreciation of Britain’s rich film and television heritage and culture. They release a broad catalogue of DVDs, including various experimental and avant-garde films by UK and international artists. These include silent films, themed compilations, short works by a single artist or feature length experimental works.

second-run-dvd-100x60.jpg Second Run films encompass many genres and languages; what distinguishes them is their quality and their ethos. They are niche-market films which Second Run hopes anyone who seriously cares about cinema would want in their collection – but which, crucially, have never before been available anywhere in the world on DVD.

index-logo-100x60.jpg Index DVD releases and distributes audiovisual works relevant to the history of international and Austrian film, video and media art. For the label’s launch 15 DVDs with the works of mostly Austrian artists were published. Preparations are underway for expanding the series to include international works.

lux-logo.jpg LUX is an arts agency which explores ideas around artists’ moving image practice through exhibition, distribution, publishing, education and research.The LUX SHOP specializes in books, DVDs and publications related to artists’ film and video.

filmarmalade-logo.jpg Filmarmalade is an artists run project established to publish on DVD selected artists’ films and video works, so as to encourage a wider access to the moving image and to allow a greater understanding, through specially commissioned interviews, of how each artist situates their work in relation to the history of art and contemporary fine art practice.

They aim to achieve exceptional quality even on modest budgets.

Started in 2002, Soda Pictures has established an impressive catalogue of world cinema and independent films working with upcoming directors as well as established talent across an eclectic mixture of feature film titles.

After eight years as leading specialist book publishers, Wallflower Press recently revealed its diversification into magazine production, with the publication of two quarterly magazines, Film & Festivals and Electric Sheep.

Originally founded and edited by the innovative documentary filmmaker Marc Karlin, Vertigo is a unique project which champions innovation and diversity in form and culture for independent film and the moving image. Through its magazine, website and special events, Vertigo engages audiences, educators, students and practitioners, introducing new work and critical debate.

electricsheep100x60.jpg Electric Sheep is a quarterly magazine published by Wallflower Press. Each issue explores a different theme taken from the dark cinematic basement they have made their home. It contains exclusive in-depth features and interviews as well as outlandishly beautiful images and original illustrations not available on the website. Electric Sheep online will continue to review weird, wild and wonderful film and DVD releases every month.
